QCF stands for Qualification Credit Framework.

This is the new qualification reform taking place across all vocational qualifications.

QCF qualifications have started  taking the place of existing qualifications, including NVQs.  By 31 December 2010, all qualifications offered by BHTA will have changed to fit this framework.  This is an exciting time for BHTA as we look to the future, making qualifications more flexible and accessible.

So far, BHTA is working to the following timescales for QCF qualifications:

• Retail Certificate and Diploma - now in place

• ITQ Diploma - now in place

• Business & Administration Certificate and Diploma - from August 2010

• Customer Service Certificate and Diploma - from August 2010

• Team Leading and Management Certificate and Diplomas - from September 2010

• Health & Social Care Certificate and Diploma - from 1 January 2011

• Sports and Fitness Certificates and Diplomas - from 1 January 2011
